Robert Jasinski2025-03-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I came into S2L at the lowest point in my life. I entered the program 107lb standing at 6’3”. I could barely eat, walk, or function like a normal human. I was deep in my addiction to Alcohol and pain killers when I came in on Halloween of 2016. From the moment I stepped into the Lodge at S2L, I knew this place had something special about it. The staff and students greeted me with open arms and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable from day 1. I came in for a 30 day program and ended up leaving 5 months later (3 months as a student 2 as an intern), gained my weight back (170lb). I left the program with a group of men I’m proud to be able to call my brothers, and more importantly, a new understanding of Jesus Christ. There have been some slip-ups in the following years but I always had and have someone that I could trust and go to whenever I needed. 8 years later I’m still connected to many of the men I followed Christ with, people that I can talk about things that only other addicts seem to understand. I’ve recommended this place to many people and have seen so many lives changed by S2L. I came in as a broken man and came out as a follower of Christ! Thank you S2L!! God Bless!! jonathan roth2025-03-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place was great and really helped me strengthen my relationship with Christ further than it has ever been before. A few minor things I would improve but the purpose here is to find God or strengthen your relationship and I think they do an excellent job of that! Zeke McKinney2025-02-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have seen the hand of God here in a different way than I have seen anywhere else. Truly, the love of Christ is present here at S2L and sinners are set FREE from the guilt and shame of addiction. To God be all the glory forever! Andrew Daigle2025-02-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful people, amazing place Kenna Wellman2025-02-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I spent 2022 in the S2L program. First phase twice, then I stayed for second phase on my 2nd go around, and interned. Having been to multiple secular rehabs and countless failed attempts at sobriety. S2L offered a new Jesus centered approach. At 38 years old, I had never read the Bible or regularly attended church. The Lord used S2L to minister to me at a point in my life where I would listen. After loosing my father, being divorced from my wife, and 8hrs away from my kids, I was a broken man. S2L was a conduit for the Word of God to touch my heart and soul. Words can’t describe what happened to me when I spent a year in Woodbury, TN at S2L. I became a Christian, a man, a husband again, a father again, a son again, and a friend again. The Lord used the pastors there and ALL of the staff to point me to Jesus. Once focused on him, the healing begun. I say this, because it’s my truth. S2L changed the trajectory of my entire families lives. I will always be grateful for this ministry, and the men and women who work there. The staff was and is incredible. If you are seek help in addictions, this is your place. If your family member needs help with addictions, this is your place. These people are the real deal, they preach and teach the Word of God. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV

Frequently Asked Questions About
Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Inpatient addiction treatment is a structured recovery program where individuals live at a treatment facility full-time while receiving medical care, counseling, and therapeutic support. Unlike outpatient options, an addiction residential program removes you from the triggers and stressors of daily life so you can focus entirely on healing. At S2L Recovery, our inpatient program pairs evidence-based clinical therapies with Christ-centered teaching for a whole-person approach to lasting freedom.
At S2L Recovery, our residential addiction treatment program begins with 5–7 days of medical detox, followed by Phase 1 (42 days) and an optional Phase 2 (42 days) of residential care. That’s 84+ days of structured treatment; far longer than the typical 28-day programs that end when insurance stops paying. We also offer a 6-month internship phase for those who want to continue growing in recovery and give back to the community.
S2L Recovery is one of the only inpatient addiction treatment centers in the country that is both Joint Commission-accredited and genuinely Christ-centered. Many programs offer faith as an add-on, but at S2L, Jesus is the foundation of everything we do. We combine on-site medical detox, licensed clinical therapists, dual diagnosis treatment, and a proprietary biblical curriculum.
Yes. S2L’s residential detox program provides 24/7 medical supervision during withdrawal, with evidence-based symptom management and a seamless transition into our residential care phases. Medication-assisted treatment is used only during the detox phase for client safety, we do not continue MAT during residential treatment. This approach keeps clients safe while preventing the risk of trading one dependency for another.
A residential drug addiction rehab program is right for men and women (ages 18+) who are struggling with substance use disorders and need a structured, full-time environment to recover. S2L serves individuals dealing with alcohol, opioids, methamphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, prescription drugs, and co-occurring mental health conditions. If you or a loved one has tried outpatient treatment or shorter programs without success, our residential drug addiction rehab program offers the extended care and spiritual foundation needed for real change.
Yes. S2L is out-of-network with most commercial insurance providers, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, and Prime Health. We are also a TRICARE East in-network provider and accept VA Community Care Network and ChampVA. Our team will verify your benefits and walk you through your coverage options so that finances don’t stand between you and our addiction residential program.
No. While S2L Recovery is a Christ-centered residential addiction program, we welcome individuals of all faith backgrounds. Many of our clients arrive searching for something more than what secular treatment offered, and they find it here. Our team will never judge the circumstances that led you to us (John 8:5–7). What we will do is offer you professional care, genuine community, and the hope that comes through knowing your identity in Christ.
Yes. S2L Recovery is Joint Commission-accredited; the gold standard in healthcare quality and safety. We are also licensed by the State of Tennessee and listed with SAMHSA. This means our residential addiction program meets the same rigorous clinical and safety standards as the best hospitals in the country.
Absolutely. About 70% of our clients come from outside Tennessee, and many fly into Nashville BNA Airport. S2L provides transportation from the airport to our facility. Research shows that out-of-state treatment can actually improve outcomes by removing individuals from the environments and triggers that fueled their addiction. Our residential detox program and full treatment continuum are designed to serve clients nationwide.
A typical day in our addiction residential program starts with breakfast and morning devotionals, followed by recovery classes built on our proprietary biblical curriculum. Afternoons include clinical appointments, small group therapy (CBT, DBT), and recreational therapy. Evenings feature peer study, relapse prevention sessions, and personal journaling time. Every day is designed to strengthen your body, renew your mind, and restore your spirit.
