If you’re ready to make some real changes and get out of your own way, S2L is definitely worth checking out. You can really tell the team cares about your success and well being so you can become a better more fulfilled version of yourself. Robert Jasinski2025-03-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I came into S2L at the lowest point in my life. I entered the program 107lb standing at 6’3”. I could barely eat, walk, or function like a normal human. I was deep in my addiction to Alcohol and pain killers when I came in on Halloween of 2016. From the moment I stepped into the Lodge at S2L, I knew this place had something special about it. The staff and students greeted me with open arms and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable from day 1. I came in for a 30 day program and ended up leaving 5 months later (3 months as a student 2 as an intern), gained my weight back (170lb). I left the program with a group of men I’m proud to be able to call my brothers, and more importantly, a new understanding of Jesus Christ. There have been some slip-ups in the following years but I always had and have someone that I could trust and go to whenever I needed. 8 years later I’m still connected to many of the men I followed Christ with, people that I can talk about things that only other addicts seem to understand. I’ve recommended this place to many people and have seen so many lives changed by S2L. I came in as a broken man and came out as a follower of Christ! Thank you S2L!! God Bless!! jonathan roth2025-03-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place was great and really helped me strengthen my relationship with Christ further than it has ever been before. A few minor things I would improve but the purpose here is to find God or strengthen your relationship and I think they do an excellent job of that! Zeke McKinney2025-02-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have seen the hand of God here in a different way than I have seen anywhere else. Truly, the love of Christ is present here at S2L and sinners are set FREE from the guilt and shame of addiction. To God be all the glory forever! Andrew Daigle2025-02-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful people, amazing place Kenna Wellman2025-02-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I spent 2022 in the S2L program. First phase twice, then I stayed for second phase on my 2nd go around, and interned. Having been to multiple secular rehabs and countless failed attempts at sobriety. S2L offered a new Jesus centered approach. At 38 years old, I had never read the Bible or regularly attended church. The Lord used S2L to minister to me at a point in my life where I would listen. After loosing my father, being divorced from my wife, and 8hrs away from my kids, I was a broken man. S2L was a conduit for the Word of God to touch my heart and soul. Words can’t describe what happened to me when I spent a year in Woodbury, TN at S2L. I became a Christian, a man, a husband again, a father again, a son again, and a friend again. The Lord used the pastors there and ALL of the staff to point me to Jesus. Once focused on him, the healing begun. I say this, because it’s my truth. S2L changed the trajectory of my entire families lives. I will always be grateful for this ministry, and the men and women who work there. The staff was and is incredible. If you are seek help in addictions, this is your place. If your family member needs help with addictions, this is your place. These people are the real deal, they preach and teach the Word of God. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV

Frequently Asked Questions About
Kratom Detox
Kratom is a plant-based substance that acts on opioid receptors in the brain, producing effects similar to prescription painkillers. Over time, regular use leads to physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms. Kratom detox is the medically supervised process of safely clearing the substance from your body while managing withdrawal discomfort. At S2L Recovery, our on-site medical team provides 24/7 care during this phase.
7OH (7-hydroxymitragynine) is the primary active compound in kratom responsible for its opioid-like effects. 7OH addiction develops when the body becomes dependent on this compound, leading to cravings, tolerance, and withdrawal. Because 7OH addiction mirrors opioid dependence in many ways, it responds well to the same medically supervised detox and residential treatment approach that S2L provides for other substance use disorders.
Kratom addiction treatment at S2L begins with a 5-7 day medical detox, followed by Phase 1 residential treatment (42 days) and an optional Phase 2 extended care (42 days). The full program provides 84+ days of structured, Christ-centered care, well beyond the typical 30-day programs that often fall short for lasting recovery.
S2L Recovery is Joint Commission-accredited and genuinely Christ-centered. Unlike secular programs or smaller faith-based centers, we combine on-site medical detox, licensed clinical therapists, dual diagnosis treatment, and full-time ordained pastoral leadership. Our kratom rehab program addresses addiction as both a clinical and spiritual issue, teaching identity in Christ rather than labeling someone as an "addict" for life.
As Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." That kind of grace-filled forgiveness is what we walk families toward in every session.
Yes. S2L Recovery is out-of-network with most commercial insurance providers, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, and Prime Health. We also accept TRICARE East, VA Community Care Network (Optum VACCN), and ChampVA. Our intake team will verify your benefits and walk you through your coverage options at no cost.
Yes. S2L Recovery is Joint Commission-accredited, which is the national gold standard for healthcare quality and safety. We are also Tennessee State Licensed, SAMHSA listed, and an AACC Christian Care Connect provider. Our staff includes 50+ full-time employees with a 1.5-to-1 staff-to-client ratio.
No. While S2L Recovery is a Christ-centered program with biblical teaching woven into every part of our care, we welcome individuals of all faith backgrounds. Many people who enter our program are not practicing Christians but are open to spiritual healing alongside their clinical treatment. What matters most is your willingness to pursue lasting freedom.
Yes. Because 7OH addiction acts on the same brain receptors as traditional opioids, it responds to similar medical detox protocols. S2L's medical team uses medication only during the initial detox phase to ensure client safety, then transitions clients off controlled substances as soon as medically appropriate. After detox, our residential program combines evidence-based therapies with biblical teaching for full-spectrum recovery.
